Successful Communication Skills
'I just can't control my nerves',
How can I get on with people I don't know even if I just want to hide? '
'How can I learn and keep interested? '
'How can I express an opinion and still get respect? '
'What does my body language say about me? '
'How can I deal with difficult people? '
'What's the difference between being assertive and being aggressive and how do you do it? '
Getting on with others can be a minefield for teenagers as they try to get to know themselves and familiarise themselves with uncomfortable or challenging situations.
By the end of this course, participants will have what they need to:
- make the most of their learning opportunities by recognising their individual styles
- discover listening skills and master positive non-verbal communication to avoid conflict and improve understanding
- increase their awareness of their own body language and what this means about the messages they're giving out
- become more sensitive to the non-verbal communication of others
- express opinions and make suggestions constructively so other people take notice
Switch Vision can hone in on a range of specific needs to your school or college - whether you're looking for a course spread over a number of weeks or a one-off workshop, we'll adapt to give the participants the opportunity to learn skills that will last for life.
